One of the first places I had a chance to meet
other people who were intensely interested in bubbles was at the Exploratorium in San
Francisco. Eiffel Plasterer, David Stein, Louis Pearl, Bernie Zubrowski, Zev Luz, Tom
Noddy and others were making bubbles and explaining the scientific principals behind
bubble films. Connections made here have been helpful as I have traveled around the world.
On one trip to an Exploratorium bubble festival I put Sterling Johnson inside of a bubble.
I poured a bucket of my special bubble solution over him and he was soaking wet. He was
able to walk through the side of the bubble without it popping..... a "first" in
the world of bubbles. |
