Why do Bubbles Pop?

There are several reasons bubble pop. Evaporation
of its water content, air turbulance, and, most
commonly, dryness - contact with a dry surface.

When you make bubbles in the sun, they tend to evaporate quickly. When ther is a strong wind, or even a gentle breeze, bubbles are much more difficult to create. If the air is very dry, as it is in the desert, or if a bubble touches a dry finger or the ground, bubbles pop instantly. So, here are my recommendations for the ideal conditions for making bubbles, expecially giant bubbles:
  1. Work in shady areas. My favorite time for bubble making is right after the sun sets.
  2. Make bubbles when the air is still or only slightly breezy.
  3. Stay in open areas where your bubbles won't run into dry objects. After a rainstorm, when the air is full of moisture, bubbles will seemingly last forever.
